I get myself running!

I think it is time to share a little bit of true story from mine, before and after I get myself kicking with more running activities. Even I started not long ago like just a year, but I think can proudly recommend running to everyone.

This story should be back to 5 years ago. I have come across some friend who always went for run and I don’t really understand why they can keep running, and I kept pushing away with some lame excuse which I don’t have much time for these target-less activity. That was a time when I still feel running is a boring thing to do in this world. “You just do nothing, but run.”

2 Years later, I started to have some run just to have a taste on the feeling for running. I was pushed by the weight I had to get myself a try on running, and it end up not positive as it is hard for me to understand on why people can enjoy running that time. This is partly because of my weight and I don’t really know how to enjoy run, 1KM considered a hard job for me. Don’t laugh at me and you can try it yourself? :P I think most of you know that I will eventually give up, and yes I stopped after few attempts.

Last year, can be a turning point for the running habit. I am matured enough to handle that time. Because I was aiming to start live healthy and subscribed for mount KK hiking package. So, I need to start to hike and eventually look for other exercise to keep me moving for the missions. I went to join 10KM run, and the first one was Standard Chartered KL marathon and it end up good.

After that, I started to join more running events which push me to run more. I done my mount KK hike and was back to working life and started to run again once a week and realize I need to keep my rhythm going with the spirit I had. And now I can proudly tell everyone that I like to run and I can complete my 10KM in an hour. The most important part of this is if you doing something that you enjoy, you will eventually keep doing it. And to make it the thing you like, you need to learn how to do it correctly and it shouldn’t be a hard task for you after all.

I know I still have long way to go to get to full marathon, but I believe it will come one day. If the day is come I will share more about it here. Ciao !
